Enjoying God’s Forgiveness

(Ephesians 1:7) “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace”

What is the big deal about enjoying the forgiveness of God? Let me ask you, have you ever been in trouble with someone that you committed a big woops against? Wasn’t it great when you made your apologies and you received their forgiveness? It is like a huge weight has been lifted off you.  As sinners we have seriously wronged our God yet He has forgiven us through faith in Jesus, on the basis of His grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. Whether you realize it or not that is the greatest blessing of forgiveness anyone could ever receive.

God has forgiven us and delivered us from the wrath to come. The redeemed of the Lord can now live with the wonderful knowledge that they have been saved and washed from their sin.  King David writes in Psalm 32:1 “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” The word “blessed” has the idea of being happy. Why would one be happy? Because his “transgression” (his sin) is forgiven. Dear one, if you are saved, God wants you to enjoy His forgiveness. Regardless of what you may be dealing with today in life, remember, you are forgiven of sins “according to the riches of His grace.”
